1. This is the painting ‘Struck by Lightning’ EXCEPT that the sky is not littered with stars BUT dark as night and a streak of lightning is visible. But it isn’t Jongdae who is sitting on the log.

some fic notes
I really struggled with writing ‘In the midst [...]’ and it went through a lot of revisions before I decided to just stick with it. NOTE TO EVERYONE WHO IS GOING TO WRITE, if you feel insecure beginning a story THEN SCRAP IT ALL UP and start over. Because I started this feeling insecure and at the end of it all, I just finished everything feeling insecure. Also, roller coaster of emotions help you write but it’s up to you make that writing coherent. u____u I am so glad this is out of the way. I realized, if I had a summer break, I would have wasted it finishing my critcaps like woah. But no, I have summer vacation so yey!

Anyway, just yeah, I was feeling insecure with ‘In the midst [...]’ and that’s why I wrote ‘Addicted To You’ which was shorter and stupider haha originally tho that was one of the plots I was going to take but that was Plan C and well ‘In the midst [...]’ was Plan A so obv that won.

But yeah, I’m sure you all don’t really read this so Imma go ahead and thank the important people.

I was going through something when I was writing my critcap and they gave me the push and encouragement I needed. They didn’t hold my hand, they freaking pushed me at the end of the cliff only to catch me when I fell. You guys are the best. Literally. I think if you guys had not encouraged me as much as you guys did my 14k critcap would go nowhere. It would be thrown out of this world, hidden away from wandering eyes.

BUT MOST OF ALL, she gets the biggest THANK YOU in this because without her my 14k would have been sacked, never to see the light of day. THANK YOU TO justangel who was there from the beginning to the end. SHE LITERALLY HELPED ME PLOT THIS OUT. This was all her, helping with the problems and plotholes AND EVEN HELPING ME WITH THE WHOLE ART GALLERY THING because I AM NOT KIM JOONMYUN. I do not know how to appreciate art. I cannot. NOT ONLY DID SHE HELP ME PLOT, SHE ALSO BETA-ed THE THING. LIKE REALLY WELL. And she gave me everything I needed to have a little bit of confidence in my fic and I’m just so grateful for her existence. Bless her soul. You are like the rain to my desert. TO thisismylastlie, I wrote you 14k, finished the 14k and the truth is I did not like any bit of it. NOT EVEN ONE SENTENCE IN IT. So I’m sorry. You deserve all the apology in the world and the truth is that I cannot give you anything other than that fluffy excuse of an apology 3k words fic. I hope, that even if I didn’t like my 14k, you find a little bit of joy in it. Just a little is enough.

If it didn’t, there’s always the 3k.
